We have been regular customers of this restaurant for a long time and even ate here just two days ago without any issues, which made today’s experience even more shocking.
From the moment we arrived, we were treated with hostility. An employee repeatedly shouted at us and aggressively pointed to where we had to sit. We explained that the table by the entrance was uncomfortable because customers coming in could easily bump into us.
He then offered us another table, which we accepted, but immediately stopped us and said it was reserved. We respected that decision. However, during our entire meal, no one was ever seated at that table.
When we were ready to order, the same employee kept telling us, “I’ll be back,” but never returned. We waited several minutes before another waitress kindly came to take our order. We understood the restaurant was busy, but there was a clear difference between being busy and simply refusing to provide basic service.
After dinner, because of the way we had been treated, we politely explained that we were not leaving a tip due to the poor service. Instead of accepting our decision, the employee became even more aggressive. He repeatedly shouted that tipping was mandatory, saying “tip, tip,” and “you ate a lot, leave tip,” while taking the payment terminal away during the argument. We have lived in Canada long enough to know that tipping is appreciated but is not mandatory unless clearly disclosed as a service charge.
We were also initially charged $5 for a takeout container. When we questioned the amount, the employee changed it to $0.50, saying it had been a mistake.
As we were leaving, the employee insulted us by saying “motherfucker foreigners”, told us “Don’t come back,” and continued shouting at us in Chinese. We do not speak Chinese, so we could not understand the rest of what he was saying, but his tone remained aggressive until we left.
We have never experienced treatment like this in any restaurant. We understand that restaurants can be busy and that misunderstandings happen, but there is no excuse for yelling at customers, insisting that tips are mandatory, or insulting people because they are foreigners.
We left feeling shocked, humiliated, and deeply disappointed. Unfortunately, after being loyal customers for so long, we will never return.

They missed an item on my online order but the item was quickly prepared in 5 minutes and the lady gave me an extra soup for her mistake. Bbq items and the special chow mein were all tasty and generous in portions.
